Here it is folks, a one hundred percent nudie cutie production. Complete with naked volleyball matches, underwater swimming cam, naked B-B-Q's and a bevy of beauties wearing only the forced smiles on their faces! What more could a cinema going audience ask for in the 1950s. Here on this disk you get not one... but two films directed with the flair and finesse you would come to expect from accomplished indie adult and horror directors Edgar G. Ulmer and Doris Wishman. Basically, this disk is the same as the R1 'Something Weird' disk and comes packed with all the extras you often find from that excellent label. For me, this is more than worth the price alone as there are treasures to be found in trailers, interviews, old American nudie documentaries and a couple short films too boot. And don't think it was just America that delved into this genre, several trailers show that Britain had their fare share of nudie movies too. What a wonderful presentation this disk is. As for the films, well don't expect high concept here folks, or a story as such, though The Diary of a Nudist does try its hand at a narrative in amongst the montages of beauties that can be somewhat repetitive. But that is what the nudie cutie was all about, as many naked girls as possible on the screen at any one time. Both these movies fill that quota perfectly. I can guarantee you a fun filled evening of innocence and frolics... and for the girls, well I bet you will love the reporters boss in Diary of a Nudist, for surly he is one hunk of man... those shorts he wears in some of the scenes, simply Meoowwww.
